Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talent at that moment. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in each of her events.
